Specialty Pharmacist (Dermatology, Rheumatology)

nuvRx is expanding, and we are seeking a Specialty Pharmacist to join our growing, specialty-focused practice.

This is not a traditional retail role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional pharmacy services in accordance with OCP standards

  • Verify and dispense specialty and dermatology/rheumatology therapies

  • Administer injections and biologic therapies (where applicable)

  • Collaborate with prescribers, nurses, and PSP coordinators on patient care plans

  • Support patient onboarding, education, and adherence monitoring

  • Develop programs, improve systems and SOPs

  • Review and facilitate prior authorizations and reimbursement processes

  • Oversee prescription workflow, documentation, and clinical accuracy

  • Utilize Kroll and integrated systems for prescription processing and recordkeeping

  • Coordinate with patient support programs for enrollment and follow-ups

  • Maintain compliance with cold-chain handling and specialty drug protocols

  • Contribute to workflow optimization and operational growth initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)

  • Injection certification and CPR/First Aid training (current)

  • Proficiency in Kroll Pharmacy Management Software

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Familiarity with OSCAR EMR or similar electronic medical record systems

  • Strong communication and patient counselling skills

  • High attention to detail and organizational proficiency

  • Ability to work both independently and within an integrated clinical team

Assets (not required):

  • Experience in specialty pharmacy or biologics

  • Exposure to dermatology and/or rheumatology therapeutics

  • PSP coordination or reimbursement navigation experience
